Goosefoot Farm is owned an operated by Christine & Brad St. Pierre. Brad, has had a diverse array of agriculture related experience over the past 12 years. His
passion and energy for improving our food system and food security is endless. Though he started out as an artist, studying Digital Media at The Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA, he fell in love with farming in a big way and hasn’t gotten his hands out of the dirt since. He currently manages the Tanana Valley Farmer’s Market, somehow managing to repair and maintain all the farm equipment, design and create tools and implements, and plant and harvest tons of vegetables as well as care for his young family in his off time! He is also currently serving as Vice President of the Alaska Farmer’s Market Association. Brad’s a high energy kinda guy, and since starting Goosefoot Farm he can’t seem to wipe that smile off his face.
Christine St. Pierre was born and raised in Ester, Alaska. She fell in love with farming at a young age and has pursued that passion ever since. She has a degree in Ecological Agriculture from The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington, where she specialized in soils and compost management. She moved back to Alaska in 2010 with Brad, dreaming of settling down and farming in her far Northern home. She is delighted to be able to share farm life with her two children while she manages the day to day operations of the farm. She has over 15 years of experience working in agriculture, and loves to grow food for her community in Fairbanks on her own farm!
